Intelligence Check is an actual play series that's big on the laughs. It's a light-hearted show, using D&D 5e rules, set in the homebrew world of the Lichstone Empire. We've got dark and mysterious backgrounds, defensive elephants, weird gambling, oddly specific kobold slaughter, and tentacles. Way too many tentacles.

After overcoming the terror that was the Scarab King, the party pushes further towards the dusty heart of the pyramid. It's just about time to wrap up this expedition. But something really stinks around here. And we don't mean our adventurers!
Rather than waste away debating the relative size of bugs, they delve deeper into the decrepit digs, where they learn that someone has a rotten sense of humor. Or is it just really dry?
Hopefully the team can preserve their wits as they deal with the disgusting horrors all around them. And this time we do mean our adventurers!

Having survived the last round of traps mostly unscathed, but definitely worse for the wear, our adventurers continue to push into the heart of the pyramid. As they enter the first chamber, it quickly becomes clear that they've entered the puzzle phase of their exploration.
They should have no problems with that of course. Historically, puzzles have been no issue for them! What's that? What about the Spa Tile you ask? We'll thank you for not bringing up the Spa Tile. Yes, it's capitalized now. And yes, now we're all reliving that travesty. But fear not! These puzzles involve riddles, so there's no risk at all of them overthinking things or just flat out not getting them!
Here's a riddle for you dear listeners. What do you call a half-elf, a gnome, a tiefling and a shifter who are afraid of some little bugs? The answer: Intelligence Check!

After what is probably their weirdest getaway yet, our adventurers return to Jade's hideout for a post heist debrief. She informs them there is still much thieving to be done in order assist her with a special mission that is of particular interest to both Kort and Rath. Their next step? Steal a very sought-after treasure from a pyramid. Good thing that old fear about pyramids having traps and curses is just a myth, right?
So, it turns out the pyramid is full of traps and curses. Also the entrance is strewn with the bones of others who came before them attempting to nab the treasure. All ominous signs that would make reasonable people reconsider their next steps. Good thing this group is far from reasonable! Let's join the party as the venture in. What could possibly go wrong?

Having bungled their way into a secure complex, our adventurers continue to follow Jade's directions as she guides them through what has clearly become a heist. What are her goals there? And how does she know the building layout and guard locations so perfectly? Very good questions that she is masterfully dodging. But the party pushes on, because really, what else do they have to do?
Meanwhile Rath is not having a good time. Blag and Namee are pulling off Looney Tunes routines, and Kort is chatting up a blast from the past. They're all having a very enjoyable heist. Rath is left to reminisce about their last pilfering mission, which was lovely for him. Unlike this mission. Hopefully he'll get to use a flashy spell. That always makes him feel better. That and grabbing treasure of course. Thankfully his teammates are there to throw him a line. It's time to steal stuff! Again!

Having dealt with Collin's attempts to take over the Onyx Shields, our adventurers find themselves being whisked away by the mysterious thief Jade. The last time the party chased after her they ended up stranded on an island of dinosaurs, shifters and snake people. And yet for some reason, here they are, following her again with no idea of where they are, why they are there, or what Jade is after.
So once again the party is rushing head first into a situation they know nothing about! Knowing this team, they will find an unexpected way through that will leave Kyle shaking his head in defeat. It's time to sap away just a little bit more of the Dungeon Master's life force!
